基本信息
1、形式: 因岗位和年份差异较大。管培生/中国学生计划通常为电话面试或视频面试(HR初筛);部分岗位为AI机器面试或现场一对一面试

2、时长: 电话面试约10至15分钟;视频/现场面试约20至30分钟

3、氛围: HR态度普遍nice,但问题结构化且节奏快;部分场次存在压力测试,如突然来电、英文口语突击考察

面试流程

电话面试流程: 突然来电(无预约)→ 英文自我介绍 → 结构化问题(英文/中文交替)→ HR介绍项目 → 确认后续安排
视频/现场面试流程: 签到 → 填写表格 → 英文自我介绍 → 简历深挖 → 行为面试题(STAR法则) → 情景模拟 → 反问环节
特殊说明: 部分岗位面试前需完成英语小测试(半小时,测试英文读写能力)
管培生项目前一年半在香港和上海培训,之后安排在分行或支行作中层管理者,招聘面向全球,竞争极为激烈

面试问题

1、英文自我介绍(必考,需准备1分钟和3分钟两个版本)
参考回答: Good morning, I'm [Name], graduating from [University] with a major in [Finance/Computer Science]. During my internship at [Bank/Tech Company], I was responsible for [customer service/software development], which enhanced my [communication/technical] skills and understanding of [financial products/system architecture]. I'm particularly drawn to HSBC because of its global network and commitment to sustainable finance. I believe my [analytical/problem-solving] abilities and adaptability make me a strong fit for this program.


2、为什么选择汇丰?/Why HSBC?(高频且核心)

Second, career development, the management trainee program provides structured rotation across Hong Kong, Shanghai and regional branches, which accelerates professional growth. 3、过去2-3年的经历 / 过去让你印象最深的经历(行为面试,需用STAR法则)
参考回答: During my junior year, I led a team of five in a national business case competition (Situation). Our challenge was to design a digital banking solution for rural communities within 72 hours (Task). I divided the workload based on each member's strength—research, data modeling, presentation design—and facilitated daily stand-ups to track progress (Action). We won the second prize among 200+ teams, and more importantly, I learned how to motivate a team under extreme time pressure (Result).


4、对销售的理解 / 对岗位的理解(客户经理/客户拓展代表岗)
参考回答(销售岗): I view sales as problem-solving with empathy rather than pushing products. In banking, it's about understanding a client's financial goals, risk appetite and life stage, then crafting tailored solutions. For example, a young professional needs wealth accumulation tools, while a retiree prioritizes capital preservation. My approach is to build long-term trust through consistent follow-ups and value-added insights, not one-off transactions. I believe HSBC's "Wealth and Personal Banking" philosophy aligns perfectly with this consultative approach.


5、情景模拟:上司临时没空,如何处理与客户的预约?(客户经理助理岗)
参考回答: I would handle this situation in three steps. First, immediate communication, call the client promptly to explain the situation, apologize for the inconvenience and offer rescheduling options. Second, value preservation, if the client insists on meeting today, I'd consult with another qualified colleague to cover, ensuring the client's time is respected. Third, follow-up, after rescheduling, send a confirmation email with my direct contact for any urgent needs, and brief my supervisor thoroughly to ensure seamless handover. The key is to turn a potential negative experience into a demonstration of our responsiveness.


6、处理多任务/时间冲突的经历(行为面试)
参考回答: In my final semester, I was simultaneously preparing for CFA Level I, completing my thesis and interning at a securities firm (Situation). I used time-blocking—dedicating mornings to thesis writing, afternoons to internship tasks and evenings to CFA study, with strict cut-off times to prevent burnout (Action). I also leveraged weekends for deep-focus sessions. All three commitments were completed satisfactorily: I passed CFA Level I, my thesis received an A and my internship evaluation was excellent (Result). This taught me that prioritization and boundary-setting are crucial for multitasking.
